Northampton County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Contact the agency that created the record.

Official Northampton Contacts

The county does not publish a dedicated booking-photo form, records email, fee schedule, or guaranteed response time. Call the office below and ask for the records custodian or jail administration. Confirm current details before traveling.

Northampton County Sheriff’s Office

105 W Jefferson Street
Jackson, NC 27845
Office: 252-534-2611
Fax: 252-534-1408
Published hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Jail and Chief Jailer: 252-534-3901

The official Sheriff’s Office page is the primary county contact. The jail line is the better starting point for a booking, release, or custody question.

Where to Request Each Record

Different agencies hold different records. A focused request is more useful than asking one office to search every system.

  • For a county booking sheet, commitment or release entry, or booking photo if maintained and releasable, contact the Sheriff or jail. The county page gives the office details.
  • For a Gaston, Garysburg, or Jackson arrest or incident report, contact the police department that made the arrest. Their city pages list the researched agency contacts.
  • For case events, certified copies, or disposition clarification, contact the Northampton County Clerk of Court, 102 West Jefferson Street, Jackson, NC 27845, 252-574-3100.
  • For state-prison, probation, or parole information, use the NCDAC offender search. It does not cover an ordinary county booking.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP locator or ICE locator. Neither is a Northampton booking-photo service.

North Carolina public-records guidance says an agency need not create a new record, confidential material may be redacted, and copy charges follow the applicable actual-cost rules. Ask for a fee estimate and the legal basis for any withholding.

Send a Focused Request

Include the full legal name, date range, arresting agency, case number if known, and the exact records sought. Ask for the existing booking or commitment record, arrest and booking times, charges as entered, bond or release entry, photo if maintained and releasable, and release or transfer information. Request the arrest report from the town police department separately when appropriate.

Do not ask this private service to verify a person’s custody or interpret a charge. A booking is an accusation, not a conviction. For a possible warrant, contact a lawyer, the Clerk, magistrate, or law enforcement rather than relying on a name-only web result.
